They're not going to pick you, Prim..
A week ago, my life changed. No, I did not get engaged. But.. I did see the Hunger Games. And from that beginning line, I was hooked. So if you have some misconstrued idea that I am not someone who would become obsessed with something such as this series, you should probably stop reading now. If you already know how weird I am and count down the days until you can see the movie again, read on and enjoy.
First off, let me just say that when I'm not seeing the movie (which I've done twice already), I'm reading the book. When I'm not reading the book, I'm watching interviews. When I'm not watching interviews, I'm listening to the soundtrack. And when I'm not doing any of that, I'm just relating my own life to the Hunger Games.
Think I'm a freak yet?
Last Thursday, I came home to this vase of white roses sitting on my dining room table. I felt threatened. President Snow wishing me good luck that night, obviously.
I went to the theater around 9:30 p.m. with Rach and Kaile, and it was packed already. We eventually found which theater we were supposed to go in; and, although Kaile's ticket was technically for 12:21 a.m., she got into our 12:13 showing with some batting of her eyelashes (possibly something she could use in the arena...)
After waiting for two hours, Kaile said she was about ready to die and would rather go home and go to sleep then see the movie. And then it started. Though it was 2:45 a.m. by the time we left the theater to go home, it didn't even matter. I loved it. Kaile said she couldn't stop smiling the whole movie.
Peeta Mellark (I guess I also mean Josh Hutcherson?). Need I say any more? Every time he was on screen I couldn't wipe a smile off my face. He is the sweetest, most sincere character. Their love is so real. At least, that's what Kaile and I keep saying. Ugh, his smile!
And now for some things that made me laugh out loud. By myself. Obvs still Hunger Games related.
Stop. I died.
Sorry I'm not sorry. (Let's make that every time I talk about the Hunger Games.)
Cutest little interview evaaaa. This is where that quote comes from. Love love love.
Umm, also this one. But, it's 11 minutes long, so I don't blame you if you don't watch it.
And to end...
I lied. Okay, now that you absolutely, undeniably know I'm a freak, I'll leave you with one parting thought..

Enemies of the heir, beware.
Kaile and I have decided there is a basilisk living in our house. It slithers around to its heart's content nearly every morning until we quiet it with some parseltongue. He listens.
Yes, we speak parseltongue (I think Kaile's might be a parseltongue/Hebrew hybrid). Tell me one more time that I belong in Hufflepuff and I'll have my basilisk petrify you.

:/
Today my computer died, so I had to go into a computer lab and use one of those computers to do a research study online for extra credit. Little did I know that the survey would require watching this little gem...
Not what I was expecting from a business study. Watch it, I dare you. And then I dare you to watch it in front of your peers in a computer lab in the Tanner building.

Smokey the Bear?
This morning I looked at a comment my friend, Vanessa, had posted on my Facebook: "yesterday was sunday." Caught red-handed. Monday isn't that much after Sunday though, is it?
K, so the last two weeks have literally been the craziest of my entire life. I'm talking school from 8 a.m.-12 a.m. every day. That's 16 hours, people. Most of the stress was due to incessant exams and a case competition I was working on. The tests? So glad they're over. The case competition? Mixed feelings. I'm going to miss my team!
To give you a little taste of how much fun we had, picture this: we arrive at the competition at the University of Utah where everyone is dressed in business professional. The Flavor Five (catchy, I know), however, are dressed in the attire of...
Park Rangers.
Needless to say, we got many a confused/judgmental glance. Whatever. It helped us win 3rd, so we were excited! Especially since we were an undergrad team against 19 other undergrad and MBA teams from 4 different schools. Plus $1,000 in prize money isn't too shabby either.
When putting together this outfit, I texted 20+ people who I thought may have a higher chance of owning a hat such as this. In response, I got many references to Smokey the Bear, but I also came out victorious. Take that.
K, see ya Sunday!!

Okay, for real this time
Now that it's the beginning of March, it's time to revamp my New Years' Resolution to blog more. Let's break it down into legitimate goals. Here goes: blog every Sunday. Okay, I can handle that. And if I so happen to want to blog in between, so be it.
